A 30 year old pakistan-American man called Faisal Shahzad, had a plan to explote times square, New York. Fortunately the bomb couldn't explote because officers had caught this man. He is a huge criminal he already killed people in 2002. He got caught by the police and he is now on jail. Officers said that they heard guns around his apartment. He has a custody of weapons, guns, terrorism and what he basically did was that he brought a gasoline bomb in Times Square while people were burning fireworks, so it would be a big explosion...

Opinion: It's great that U.S. people knows about this bomb and there are lots of terrorists now in day so many people could get hurt and it is great that officers caught this. People should be more careful because violence is expanding all around the world. This men should be in prison a long long time.

India is considered as one of the biggest polluted city. They have been trying a solution for a long time. Finally India has found a solution... a metro. This helps a lot, with the pollution and with the traffic too. This solution has saved 300,000 tons of fuel and it has been a great decision.

Jordan Romero a thirteen year old boy just like us, is declared to climb the mount Everest( the highest mountain peak in the world.) He's journey will begin in camp of China with his dad and stepmother. Jordan already have expirience of climbing mountains, because he has already climed the highest peaks in every continent except Asia. When he was ten he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and know he wants to be the youngest person to climb the Mount Everest. Right know we know that the youngest person who climbed the mount Everest is Temba Tsheri, in 2001 at age 16.


Opinion:It's amazing how a boy follows his dreams and does them. Some kids have dreams but never fight to accomplish them. This kid should be a role model for others .

Flooding in Rio de Janeiro state kills 50

The flooding in Rio de Janeiro which killed 50 people in total, ( Twenty-six people died in the city of Rio de Janeiro, 14 were killed in the neighbouring city of Niteroi, nine people dead in Sao Goncalo, and one in Nilopolis.) The government of Rio de Janeiro hasn't really helped a lot in this days of heavy rains and if they don't help more deaths will appear. Houses have been crashing down and this is one of some reasons of the deaths,also mud slides have killed lots of people. South of the country of Iceland a volcano erupted, and caused an evacuation of at least 500 to 600 hundred people. Fortunately nobody got hurt. After the horrible event, ash started to fall, ice started to melt, but we have develop the way how to avoid it and the ice melting wasn't so much. But with this eruption and with others more we could have a dramatically global damage.

opinion:
Ana- We are the cause of this damage, we are the reason why this volcano erupted. We need to change and fast. I think it was a miracle that the lava didn't melt the ice.
George-I think this problem is very bad for all the icelanders because some will have no hame after this. It will be hard to get back.

summary:these article is about a high school in Mississippi were they canceled prom because there were certain people who were gays and lesbians.School officials defended the decision, saying that the whole issue had become a "distraction to the learning process"in thise article there have been many cases were bisexual people try to take thir dates to the prom were it is not right when it is not aloud. there is no law that says that gay people shouldn't be aloud in the schools but many people say that principals don't know how to follow the gay and lesbians rights.

Even doctors say cats and dogs are healthy for you to eat. The government say it is illegal but there are tons of violators, even they could go to prison and pay a small fiance. Not only in China happens this but also in Japan, Korea and Vietnam. Even do it is illegal people still do it and see it a different point of view. Lets say some people think it is cruel and others say it is healthy.

Ana: It is very sad for people killing dogs and there should be a big fine for people doing this. I love cats and dogs and think its not fair.

Gaby: I think that people should care more about the animals because they can go in extinction and also that people should consider that killing animals and eating them is illegal and they can get in lots of trouble.

George: I think China's government is not doing anything about it and there should be more polices out there.

Cami: I think that it is really bad because people in China don't get caught because they are still doing it and if the government say that it is illegal, they should make people in more trouble. Toyota is growing by making 1.1 million more cars in the US a day. Toyota also said that there is going to be 750 new jobs. Europe and China are worried because the accelerators get stuck on the floor mats. Toyota has been the largest car maker in the us with faulty pedals. The USA has announced that 2.3 million cars have this problems. 19 deaths caused by this problem but 5.3 million cars have been already fixed. Toyota also says that fixing the problem will not take that long.

Opinion We think this is really shocking because people that want to buy cars are going to be scared that the faculty pedals don't work . This is really bad because it has caused death. It is also a good news because Toyota is giving a lot more jobs. Also we think that Toyota should check the faculty pedals before having this kinds of problems. This impacts the world first because it has caused deaths, then because people are spending money in cars that re dangerous and more people are getting scared.

Summary

A beautiful frighten dog was rescue in the Baltic sea. That survivor had been floating 75 miles from the Poland's Vistula River to the Baltic Sea. Four people have already claim for the dog. Right now the investigators need to find out who really own him. Natalia Drgas said "It was really a tough struggle. It kept slipping into the water and crawling back on top of the ice. At one point it vanished underwater, under the ship and we thought it was the end, but it emerged again and crawled on an ice sheet." The crew saved the dog by grabbing from scruff of his neck and pulled him out. When he got out of that frozen water the crew took good care of that dog.

Opinion
I ike very much pets and I don´t know why an owner had lost a dog. And this amazing dog survived passing eight days on frezing ice. That dog is a survivor. Maybe scientist can investigate how a dog can survie eight days on ice.
